Kargil Town
Kargil is the second-largest town in Ladakh and serves as the administrative headquarters of Kargil District. Nestled along the Suru River, it is a major stop on the Srinagar–Leh Highway and a gateway to the Suru and Zanskar valleys.
War Memorial
The Kargil War Memorial, also known as the Vijay Pathar, is located in Dras, about 60 km from Kargil Town. It was built by the Indian Army to honor the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives during the Kargil War.
Suru Valley
Suru Valley is one of the most scenic regions of Ladakh, located south of Kargil along the Suru River. Known for its lush green fields, picturesque villages, glaciers, and snow-capped peaks, it offers a striking contrast to Ladakh's typical cold desert landscape.
Rangdum Monastery
Rangdum Monastery is a serene 18t-century Buddhist monastery located in the remote Suru Valley of Ladakh Surrounded by majestic mountains and vast landscapes, it serves as an important spiritual center of the Gelugpa sect and offers breathtaking views of the Himalayan wilderness.
